About AMP Light

AMP Light is the upcoming operator edition of the AMP player family. It is designed for operator customers, with a reduced feature set and operator-provided EPG, channel logos and metadata. It performs no Media-AI processing or requests. Licensing is lifetime activation per device, not per account.

An operator-focused edition

AMP Light is being prepared as a reduced edition of the AMP player family. AMP Pro serves direct customers with the full player; AMP Light is intended for customers receiving their media experience through an operator.

Operator-provided programme information

EPG, channel logos and metadata come from the operator. AMP Light does not include the full integrations offered in AMP Pro. The operator-provided information defines the available programme and channel presentation.

No Media-AI processing or requests

Media-AI is not part of AMP Light. The edition performs no Media-AI processing and makes no Media-AI requests. AMP Pro includes Media-AI as part of the full player edition.

Lifetime activation for each device

AMP Light licensing is lifetime activation per device, not per account. Activating an account does not grant activation to every device on that account; the activation unit is the individual device.
